Nice overnight stop for us on our way across the panhandle. Friendly and helpful staff. We were in a nice site where we got satellite reception, but if you get on a site under the HUGE oak trees, be prepared for occasional barrages of acorns when a breeze comes up (an autumn phenomenon). A pretty park with lots of restaurants within a few miles.
If you're in the Panhandle area, this is a great park for Destin or Pensecola. Nice paved sites with patios and towed parking spot; friendly staff; they even allow vehicle washing at your site if you are so inclined - and they'll supply a long hose if you need it! Just a short drive over the bridge to the National Seashore. We'll be back!
This park is grossly over-rated. The focus is on park model sales, and the RV traveler is being tolerated as they sell their park models. The paved roads are peppered with speed bumps, the gravel roads are pothole ridden, and you're on your own when trying to find your way in or out of the park. The rate was a weekday special - it costs $196 for the weekend! And the dog policy (see other reviews) was a first for us! No thanks - won't be back!
